Giorgos Verdi is the Policy & Advocacy Lead at Open Markets Institute Europe. His work focuses on shaping the policy debate and building coalitions in Brussels and across Europe on market power and competition, particularly in the digital economy. 

Before joining OMI, Verdi led research on technology and geopolitics for the European Council on Foreign Relations think-tank, advised small business and start-ups on EU digital policy and led a campaign for a Member of the European Parliament. His work has been featured on media outlets such as the CNN, the Financial Times, Politico, Deutsche Welle and others. 

Verdi has an MA in EU international relations and diplomacy from the College of Europe and a BA in international relations from the University of Piraeus in Greece.
